This goes back to Vietnam, probably Korea, World War II and beyond even back to the War of Northern Aggression.
These young men and women, and sometimes those that are way too old to be in a war theater, are treated with some of the worst medical care at VA hospitals. They get blown up, lose legs and arms, develop severe mental problems, and life as we know it. Many so-called “VA doctors are borderline quacks and couldn’t be a doctor of anything outside of the military.
On a weekly basis, week after week and month after month, VA hospitals are under fire for the shabby treatment given to our veterans! It never stops! Walter Reed is supposed to be the epitome of veteran hospital care…what a complete joke. There are hospitals in third world countries that are better facilities that what this government provides for our honorable veterans! Mold, busted doors, broken windows, broken and rusty beds, peeling paint, stopped up toilets and showers that barely work, and sometimes don’t. Just completely unsanitary.
This didn’t start under the current administration…King George could have made a giant step in alleviating and correcting these conditions, but he didn’t. King George chose to spend and squander billions and billions buying tin cans that doubled as Humvees, buying armor jackets so thin that a BB would leave a bruise on the wearer! Parents were forced to buy the top of the line vests here to send to their sons and daughters. How many of our youth lost their lives because of the grossly negligent King George administration will never be known, however, even 1 was one too many.
If they survived being blown up in their tin can, then they were sent to Walter Reed or some other VA hospital where they had to fight for survival yet again under outrageous treatment and conditions. Infections run rampant in these places…simply because they don’t even know how to steralize medical items…because there is no policy on how to do it! Just simply amazing…
Then on top of that, when they are finally released, they receive a letter that they owe the Army for the flak jacket that was never returned and is laying in pieces in the dirt somewhere in Iraq or Afghanistan.
The saddest part, is when one goes to the grocery store or some other establisment and see other veterans standing out in front, with basically a tin cup, asking for donations for the disabled veterans…donations that will help support them with food and other living expenses…including medical care. King George and his cohorts were willing to send millions to build a bridge to nowhere in Alaska, yet couldn’t make sure the veterans who fought for this country, under his direction, had proper care. Hundreds of thousand individuals have derived great wealth, thanks to King George, and our honorable veteran have recieved what? It is a sad note to our history when veterans are forced to hock their medals at a pawn shop, or sell them online.
